Want to get involved in our efforts? We'd love to have your help! Most of our advocacy can be done in a few minutes from your computer.

The House Health and Government Operations (HGO) Committee is receiving written testimony about ASWB exams TODAY, March 11!  You can submit written testimony. Live testimony will only be allowed by the bill sponsor (Delegate Woods), so it is all the more important to submit written testimony!

1. Set up or login to your MyMGA account.
2. Have your written testimony saved as a document (PDF) that you can upload. You can submit your own writing or copy and paste our templates into your own document. There is a template here that you can use in whole or in part, if you want. Please feel free to personalize the templates with your own thoughts and experiences! Also be sure to mention if you are a Maryland resident.
3. Make sure you are signed into your MyMGA account. Then follow these steps:
  • From the dropdown menu at the top, select "Meetings", then "Day(s)", then March 13th on the calendar.

  • On this page, scroll down to Health and Government Operations Committee. The correct meeting is at 1pm. Under that, click the button that looks like a person with a plus on it.

  • Scroll down to bill HB1521. Check the box on the left, choose "Favorable," and choose written testimony.

  • Upload your testimony. It seems to prefer you to upload as a PDF.

  • Scroll back up to the top and click the "save" button. Make sure to do this or your testimony will not be uploaded!

  • Now you're done and have shared your voice with Maryland legislators!

4. Please submit by 6pm sharp today - Tuesday, March 11. (Maybe aim for 5:45pm at the latest just in case!)
5. Please don't underestimate how important written testimony is! Every single voice is important, including yours.
2. Sign up for our mailing list if you're not on it already.
3. You won't be able to testify, but you can show up to Annapolis for the live testimony on March 13, wearing red.
